WAYMARK is a young Belgian independent rum bottler, founded by Teddy Houben.
Curiosity, good taste and a passion taking shape.
I’m Teddy, a lover of good things and curious about what makes them distinctive. With WAYMARK, I’m turning my passion for rum into a project of my own. I’m new to independent bottling, with a desire to discover, understand and share the spirits I enjoy.
My ambition is simple: to offer characterful rums and talk about them honestly, so everyone can discover them in their own way. Quality in the glass, the pleasure of discovery and the chance to exchange ideas are at the heart of the project.
Independent by choice.
Independence gives us the freedom to choose an origin because it interests us, a cask because it convinces us and a profile because its character clearly reflects its origin. A WAYMARK bottle does not need to fit a predetermined range. It simply has to earn its place.
The spirit comes first. Sharing matters too.
We want to provide useful context for each rum: its origin, production, maturation and the choices made for bottling. We will publish information we can verify. Tasting remains central, and everyone is free to form their own opinion, whether they are discovering rum or already know it well.
A house in the making.
Four rum profiles have already been selected, with a gradual launch planned from early 2027. We are also developing No Snobbery, an approachable continuous rum blend with quality at its heart and cocktails firmly in mind.
